I know i've asked this before, but I didn't get any satisfying/helping answers..

I have to make this game for my school's preschool class in child devolpment. I'm only 14 and my Head Teacher assigned me and the rest of the "Teen Teachers" to make a board game for our preschoolers. The game has to help child learn concepts, help with hand-eye coordination, how to take turns and how to follow directions. This is due by tomorrow, and it'd be helpful for any ideas. No, you can't copy any other board games already made like Chutes and Ladders,Candy Land, etc. The game has to be for children 3-5 years old, it needs directions on how to play, and needs to be catchy and at least 1-4 players. I neeeeed help quickly!! I have two large pieces of poster board, and anything that can be found at home would be useful.. ANY ideas or suggestions?!?!

  1. You can go to the microsoft website and download a game board template. Then you can change the colors and put pictures on it. As for rules... Each child rolls the dice and move the number indicated. Put pictures on the game board so if they land on a picture they are stuck and loose a turn. You can even get a game board that has "shortcuts" they can take if they land on the appropriate square. I make similar games for my Pre-K class and they love it. Plus they have to take turns, use hand-eye coordination, follow directions, practice one to one coorespondence, and count.

  2. Make different colored squares on the board like candy land.  Write an activity on each square.  For example, pat your head, hop on 1 foot, etc.  Make a stack of cards with different colored squares on them for the kids to pull from.  The kid can pull a card, move their playing piece to that color square and do the activity on the square.  The first one who gets to the end does a dance and wins the game.

  3. How about a game where you have to name colors, animals, and stuff like that. There could also be a part of the game where you have to play something along the lines of memory. The overall game could be a board with colored squares and a spinner. They could spin the spinner, and depending on the color, they would have to do a certain activity, like a blue square could have them sort animals into groups, by types and color.....The more interactive the better!!!!I hope this gives you a good Idea for a start!!!! Good Luck!!!!!
