We made our own graduation caps with construction paper.  Cut a piece of paper to 9x9 inches for the top of the cap.  Cut 2 piece about 3-4 inches wide and 12 inches long.  Tape them together at the short end, this will make the band going around the head.  Size the band to each child, and tape the band to the 9 inch square top.

Play graduation music as the children walk down the aisle, giving the parents plenty of time to take a photo.  The children put on a short program, reciting the alphabet, the pledge of allegiance, and a couple of other songs about our state.  

We handed out diplomas tied with ribbon to each child as we called their name.  Then we served punch and cookies, and took photos.  We had a large American flag in a floor stand, and the photos looked good taken next to that.

These are great ideas.

For an outdoor ceremony the kids may also receive some prizes designed so they all get one. Could be best numbers, best at letters etc. Keep speeches short with bright language the kids understand.

You may also want to have a party with BBG food, raisins, fruit, water, fruit juice, little pizzas, candy.

Also lots of kids favors such as pens, pencils, coloring in.

Games can be limbo, pass the orange, bobbing for apples, pin tail on donkey,  and quiet coloring in games.

Take lots of photos.
