  1. My favorite unusual holiday site is www.brownielocks.com.  They have holidays throughout the year.  I use it a lot in my position as a children's librarian.

  2. I don't know of sites but one of my favorite activities for the holiday is making carpet squares for the parents.  Go to the local carpet store or Lowe's, Home Depot etc. and ask to have the squares donated.  Get fabric paint and make footprint snowmen with the kids.  Print their adorable little feet right on the carpet and then decorate yourself with puffy paint to make carrot nose, eyes, buttons and scarf.  I also make snowflakes and allow the kids to blot snow all over the carpet.  I put their name and the year in lollipop letters.  You can also make a reindeer using the foot and 2 hands for antlers.  You could also opt to do this with ghost feet or hand turkeys.  Anything really....it is so fun!! And the kids love it!
