Present culture?

I want a web sit about a present culture, providing their history and environment, as will as political, economic, social, and belief systems (this information must be factual and based on valid research/ethnographies). Then the culture you described will experience a dramatic change due to the introduction of a new technology (this can be made up or factual).

A present culture ... Second Life (THE GAME).. i've only heard about it .. but it seems to be an entire culture unto itself . New technology  made this culture happen and it will change it in the future.
