Present for 50th birthday?

My mother in law has her bday party next month, she is turning 50 so we want to give her a nice present. I was thinking in a nice watch. What brands are good? nothing cheap, nothing too expensive but a good 100-300 $ watch?

I thought also of some jewel, a nice neckless but my annoying sister inlaw took my idea already... I can hear suggestions also! thanks!
