  1. Cards with your kid's drawing and heat-warming words... It's not expensive and original...

  2. resturant coupons, like cut out half off of any meal at Red Lobster valued at, blah blah, and make up a book of 10 coupons each, thats, 70 coupons, for 7 people, right? put in mcdonald and burgerking, dairy queen, or maybe grocery items mixed in,, You know it will save them a bundle to use the coupons and i think they would appreciate it

  3. Good smelling hand soaps (we wash our hands a lot), lotions, those plastic water containers, soft kleenex, nice pens, fancy printer paper, candy

  4. have your child draw a picture of each person in his preschool life - ask him what he likes about that person, what he/she does for him and write that on the page.  I have pictures like that I keep forever - they touch my heart.  I had a mom write a poem for me this year and frame it - it totally made me cry - I loved it.

  5. I made my brother doing finger painted cards and we took pictures of each person and my brother and posted that on the card. Also we added those hand made flower pens for each teacher.  Its really inexpensive if not then you buy then chooclates or simply make small goody bags.  and if card is not a choice then makea  frames out of card board finger paint it add the picture and add some chocolates with it...

  6. I get my teachers chocolates and they seem to love them.

Or those little plaques that say "BEST TEACHER".

Giftcards and apples work too. ;]

  7. I had heard from some teachers that it is frustrating to receive gifts because they don't know where to put them all. So I always give chocolates for Christmas and flowers for the last day of school. But chocolates for the last day are nice, and they are appropriate for male and female teachers alike.

I buy really excellent chocolates in bulk, at Costco or Sam's Club or some other place. I only spend about $10 to $20 total on the chocolates. Along with the bulk chocolates, I buy cute little containers at a dollar store, or I buy a roll of decorated food-grade cellophane (not plastic wrap) and a roll of curling ribbon. I divide the chocolates evenly, maybe a dozen pieces per container, and wrap them up in the cellophane or the containers. My 3 kids then make cards with a personal note for their teachers, and we deliver the gifts. This has been a good gift for teachers my kids have had from elementary school through high school.

Because the chocolates are good quality, I always hear later that it was the "most delicious" present they received. The teachers are able to share the gift with family and friends. And the container or wrapping always puts an immediate smile on the teachers' faces.

  8. usually gift card work best. To places like starbucks, IHOP,and outbcak etc. YOU can also cange the amount for how good they are.

  9. gift cards are always nice....home picked flowers if you have them....and a sincere card written by you (and signed by your child) is the best.

  10. As a recipient of gifts from pre-schoolers, my colleagues and I all agree that whilst a bottle of wine is fab, we actually appreciate something made or chosen by the child! A picture drawn by the child in a card frame, decorated with glitter or painted pasta, a clay (or similar) model made and painted by them etc. Homemade biscuits etc never go down too well as we are never sure what added 'extras' may be in there, although we still say a big thank you!

  11. Have your son make a gift like a card or something!!!!! You can include a giftcard from her favorite store or Target!!!!!!!! Everybody loves Target!!!!!!!! Hope this helps!!!!

  12. Have your son draw a picture and make a card out of it. Then either put a gift card in or make cookies.

  13. Preschool teachers are grossly underpaid. I would give a gift card, even for a small amount. Walmart, Office supply store, McDonald's... this lets her spend it on something she needs/wants. Another nice, yet practical gift is a package of pretty satin padded hangers. They're not much, but very useful. Every teacher I've spoken to has enough candles and bottles of lotion to last them 5 lifetimes.

  14. Noting beats something your son has made. Help him make a thank you card with a $2 or $4 lottery scratchy in it.

  15. How about prayer?  Go to a Catholic church office, tell the secretary you are making an offering of $10 to have a Mass said for "Intention of_________ (teacher's name) and Family".  Then ask for a Mass card -- the secretary takes a special card, jots the details inside as to what day and what time the Mass will be offered, and voila --  you can tape this card to a chocolate bar or a rose, and give the teacher a meaningful and 100% valuable gift.

  16. buy something useful....like for for the teachers you buy notebooks or pens n for the drivers a water tumbler...
