Presenting a person speeech?

okay, so i took oral comm. 101, and i have a speech coming up.

i have to introduce a classmate.. and thats basically it.

it has to be 2-4 minutes long,

any tips on making this interesting?

like i want to do good..

plus i have a little bit stage fright.. any tips on this?

the info i have to have in it is:

name/ origin.

why they like the school

and hobbies.

thats all.

anythin to help me prepare?

  1. Keep it short & simple.  Be enthusiastic..something about the family, & home of the classmate, hobbies & why he/or she likes school.  Ask your audience to welcome your friend.


  2. Make believe you are promoting this person to find him or her a date.

  3. Well dont be scared just practice in the mirror . plus look at a really good friend during the whole speech .. :) it works for me

  4. organize it, make a beginning, middle and end.  don't just read a list.  memorize so you don't have to read notes.  watch your time.  make lots of eye contact and smile.  get some humor in there - make them laugh.  breathe, breathe, breathe
