  1. Get them diapers, Babys R Us gift cards, A Costco membership, etc.

  2. I say something you can keep!! Like teddies or photoframes!!

Than ur sister would remember the gift!!

    It would be quite nice!!

but since the baby is still young, i think useful things would help sister out!!

if ur really close to ur sister, how bout?

    a pram

    a car seat

    watever that is useful !

    cheers :)

    xx

  3. Well a practical gift is always useful, but I would want to give a gift that is sentimental and will last.  Since it is her first child she will get loads of practical gifts.  My suggestion is a poshpig piggybank. I like superstar, and surfer

  4. As much as teddies and lovely clothes are great, as a parent myself the most boring things actually are the most useful. Things like nappies, wipes, rash cream, baby medicine etc are the things that always end up being used. You could do up a little hamper. If you want to buy clothes then try to buy bigger sizes. Toys are a good option too. Otherwise you could give a gift certificate for proffesional photographs?

  5. chemist/ grocery/ baby store vouchers....believe me, it will come in handy just when they need it most.

  6. When my cousin had her son we made up a big basket with tissue paper in the botttom (for decoration) and filled it with nessesities baby toothbrush, shampoo, bubble bath, nappies, 1 outfit (in a bigger size everyone buys first size) baby booties, wet wipes, talcon powder etc etc get the jist..

  7. I made my friend the cutest diaper cake. It was very simpe and practicle and made a great center piece for the babyshower.

All you need is a large bottle of baby shampoo, pack of size 2 diapers and rubberbands..........then the cake topper. I used an Anne Geddens Butterfly doll I received off ebay. tottal cost about 30 dollars.

  9. This is definately a tricky one.

Clothes are either made for boys or girls &jewelery is for baby girls.

I have been in this situation - too many times.

Here are a few things i have bought in my time or similar; i hope it helps you!

If you dont like any, go to your local "Baby Bunting" or baby shop and ask them for advice. :)

*I did a care basket once, nappies, some cute green leggings, some flowers for mum, dummy, blanket, &anything you think would be handy for them.

For my sisters birth, i decided to wait until after the baby was born &i then got a present.

She really appreciated me just giving her flowers at first, then about a week later she had a personalised embroided towel set for bub, personalised blanket, bathrobe &some clothes for her new son.

She was so grateful that i waited until after the birth, as the personalisation of things meant a lot to her.

I had "Oliver" embroided on everything &on the blanket on the opposite side in some ribbon it read "Love Aunt Amber"

    Hope this helps you!

    xx "Aunt" amber.

  10. I have the perfect present, its called baby crib safety net, I bought one for my first grandchild, and its all white so will be used for all the new family babies.. its a bit like a mosquito net only all zipped up so baby can't fall out or get caught in the rails of the cot. Cats small dogs spiders flys any creepy crawlies can't get in, so baby is perfectly safe and mother is worry free..It is the perfect gift, they just love it,here's the site I bought it from..www.babycribsafetynet.com
