I live in Massachusetts.

My son and his fiance (also a male) are getting married at the end of september.

I was just curious as to what i should get them as a wedding gift, or wedding gifts.

I was thinking a full paid vacation to the Bahamas, or somwhere exotic like that?

Any suggestions?

  1. The trip would be lovely.  I would NOT give a time share as another person suggested, because the annual fees associated with it could be more of a burden than a joy.  Of course, cash is always appreciated by any couple.  It helps defray the costs of the wedding.  No one is disappointed by cash!  But a vacation would be nice too, especially if you know it is somewhere they want to go and that they can get time away from work to travel.  Congrats!

  2. your quite the father -- I met a man the other day who disowned his son when he found it he was g*y... and you want to send your son and his male g*y lover hubby to the Bahamas? Wow! As they say one man's meat is another's poison .. no puns intended.

  3. Setting up and paying for the honeymoon is a wonderful idea. They will have wonderful memories.

Other than that, you could give each a very nice watch .

Pieces of art are also excellent choices.

    Congratulations.

  4. I think you should send them to the Bahamas. They are no different than any other couple. I have friends who are in relationships with someone of the same s*x, and they want to be treated just like the rest of us. Thanks

  5. Are they going on a honeymoon? If they don't have one planned I think that would be an awesome gift that would be greatly appreciated!!!!! After the stress of pulling things together for a wedding, I truly believe that you need a relaxing trip after!

When I got married and we were planning our honeymoon, I wanted to go to Eurpoe and basically country hop around. My husband was so insitent that we just got somewhere tropical and relax. So we made a deal to do the beach thing for the honeymoon and Europe the next summer.... And I am SOOOOO glad we did! I was so exhausted and drained after that wedding that I just wanted to lay on the beach and not move (which is very unlike me). It was fabulous! And we needed it!

If you're looking for a recommendation of a place, we went to the Dominican Republi and it was fantastic for relaxation!

The beach was amazing, food was fabulous...they wait on you hand and foot..Activies every night... Live music.. Great resort! Fully reccommend to anyone!

  6. a honeymoon is always a nice gift. but you might check to see if thats something they already have planned because most people already have that all figured out by the time of the wedding. if they already have that taken care of, see if they are registered anywhere. maybe buy a few of the more expensive items on it.

  7. How about a time share and the whole family can go at alt times and places

  8. the trip sounds great.

maybe they need something for the house?
