OR I can just tell you about it. President George W. Bush received a "prayer band" from a ministry called Voice of The Martyrs. The purpose of this prayer band is to pray for the persecuted church in China during the Olympics, and for China in general.

This doesn't bother me, but does the idea of a president of a supposedly secular government receiving and wearing this religious symbol bother you?

Should he have refused?

Should he wear it?

Is this a violation of the separation of church and state?

Let me know what you think. Thanks

  1. He will toss it. I do not care what anyone wears these days or does not wear for that matter. I would love a nudist president.

  2. After 8 years of him, I'm wearing one, too.  Strictly abiding to our constitution, you're dead-on.  But, in this country, any little swipe at Christian worship is slapped down as a matter of smart politics.  It's pure-dy ol' anti-founding-fathers but no politician in his right mind has ever stuck his finger into the barrel of that gun and probably never will.
