It looks like the American president has been following his “soccer.” According to the reporters, the president of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Colorado-Rapids-c38849 met him at the White House.
While welcoming the MLS Champions, Barack Obama was presented with a shirt with number 10 written on it. The shirt was also labelled with his name “Obama.” The director of the American Club, Jeff Plush presented Obama with the jersey and told him how this
number is important because it is usually worn by the team's leader.
Upon hearing the fact that the number 10 jersey is worn by leaders, Barack Obama said:
“Yes! me and Messi.”
Despite knowing the name of the best player in the world, the American president didn’t quite know about the sport itself. He did tell later on how he knew Lionel Messi’s name – because of his daughters Malia and Sasha who follow soccer religiously. He said
that he is being converted into a soccer fan; however, the definition of the sport given by him somehow reminded of Harry Potter’s Quidditch.
Obama’s explanation of the sport “soccer” went something like this:
“Everyone crowds around the ball, then it kind of pops out somewhere and everyone runs over to it.”
The self proclaimed “soccer dad” did not really do his homework while comparing himself to the Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi.
The Barcelona man is only 24 years old and is often considered to be the best player in the history of the game. The Argentinean man currently wears the number 10 shirt for not only Barcelona but also for the Argentinean national team.

Barack Obama’s definition of football definitely doesn’t allow him to know the position in which Lionel Messi plays and why he is known as the best player in the world. According to him "everyone runs over the football" while Lionel Messi is the one who
is bascially leading the race when it comes down dribbling past players.
