Press comes in hard for Tiger Woods
Things were already not going good for Tiger Woods because of his inconsistent performance on the course.
This was further enhanced by the tough questions he had to face from the media in a recently held press conference.
Apart from the 10 questions that he had to answer regarding his putting difficulties, Woods found most difficult to answer questions related to his former swing coach, Hank Haney.
The only answer provided by the legendary golfer was “Have a good day”.
Woods is currently working on sharpening his putting and swinging complications that he has constantly been facing.
It has been more than two years since the golfer departed from the PGA Tour without a trophy. However, interestingly, he is making his re-debuting in the tour since 1993.
His last time on the course was at the age of 17, with no pressure or stress on his mind other than to finish his high school education.
When asked about Haney’s upcoming book, ‘The Big Miss’, Woods could only comment that his disappointment with Haney has not changed.
It is important to mention here that some excerpts from the book deal with Woods’ life, disclosing that Woods always wanted to become a Navy Seal.
“I was beginning to realize that his sentiment ran deep, and that as incredible as it seemed, Tiger was seriously considering becoming a Navy Seal,” Haney wrote.
“I didn’t know how he’d go about it, but when he talked about, it was clear that he had a plan. After finding out that the Navy Seal age limit is 28, I asked Tiger about his being too old to join. ‘It’s not a problem’.
While on one hand, Woods refrained from commenting on the information disclosed by the former swing expert, on the other hand, it was the golfer’s agent Mark Steinberg who came with an aggressive stance.
He dubbed the comments made by Haney as ridiculous and a technique of engaging in ‘armchair psychology’.
He further added that since Woods' father has been associated with US Forces, it is natural that he respects the military as an institution.
At present, the golfer, after failing to prove himself at the Pebble Beach and World Match Play, is desperately looking forward for a breakthrough at the Honda Classic.
