  1. Every one feels pressure in different ways.  Me for example, I had this thing where I wanted so bad to prove myself as a good pool player it would effect me by starting to over think things like... Is this the best way out of this rack?  If I play this the wrong way are people going to notice and think I'm not any good.  And it took me a while to get over that.  Best thing I can say is, just play your game.  Play like its just you and the table and trust in yourself you have the ability to get out.

I also kinda like the corn dog thing... haha

  2. Having to watch my back

Even with 2 knives a gun and an attack wife sometimes it just dont feel right

And loud music drives me nuts--No that wont work I just dont play

  3. dont understand question

  4. Pressure can originate from many sources.

If your looking for a way to overcome pressure, I'll tell you what works for me.

Be talkative during your game. I like to tell very long stories while I'm shooting. I will occasionally throw in a joke during the middle and the ending of my story. This relaxes me.

Relaxation is the key to overcoming pressure.

I have found that if I don't over-concentrate on my shots, that I do much better on the table.

When I do over-concentrate, I usually over-think my shot. So I try and relax and go with my first instinct on the shot.

If loud music, as another person suggested, causes pressure, you can try ear plugs. they work for me in some cases, but generally work better for my opponents when I let loose with the punchline during a money shot.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Self-inflicted from not having the game that is necessary....other player and yes, the money does effect this....but money has a "comfort" level (depends on just how much I have and can't spend/blow)....the player might effect it some but this is not basketball....so the one on one does come into play unless he is in front of you trying to "shark" you in some way....but most guys don't do that, if they are they probably don't have the game so resort to this as a last hope.....I know how to handle the pressure but saying and doing are two different things.....comes mainly with confidence in your game!

  6. The other player which is silly .I just cant shake it and I get off my game thinking about it

Johnny and an old freind of his have a saying -Think of them as corn dogs --Take the bread off them all you got left is a wennie with a stick. Then I start laughing and sure cant shoot then.
