Pressure on side of throat??

I've been having some health problem over the last few months. Stomach pains after I eat to the point where I have to lay down and lots of weight loss. I have been going to the doctors and getting all these different test done, but so far no answers.

Anyway the last few times I've gone to the doctor he asked me if I've been having a hard time swallowing and I said no. Now though I feel a pressure on the left side of my throat. Every time I take a sip of anything the pressure gets worse and I have to burp right away. Its really annoying and uncomfortable.

So the reason I'm writing is because my Dr. is out for a week and I'm only 17 and dont know what I should do. Should I have my mom call another doctor? Wait it out?

I'm just worried because I really need to gain weight, or I'll have to go to the hospital and this throat problem is just making that harder.

Any advise would be really great.

  1. Get your mother to call another doctor.

    Don't wait it out.

Maybe tell your mother about it too.

  2. Because of how uncomfortable it is I would recommend having your mom call another doctor or get you in with your regular doctor's partner if they have the practice set up that way.  Sometimes the partners can be of help in handling the situation til the regular doctor gets back.  If it gets even worse than just uncomfortable then I would recommend going to the ER.
