  1. in ice hocky we use big stick and sweep into groin area..

  2. you don't.

    pressure points are:

    1- either baloney or

2- impractical in a real fight and at BEST unpredictable.

the problem with it is, that most people teach it and it is baloney or it might work when someone is in a relaxed non adrenaline atmosphere of class, but when in a real fight against a fully resisting opponent either high on adrenaline, or drinking alcohol (lets face it, where are you most likely to get into a fight?) and might be of a different build or body type that the pressure point wont work. (muscle structure, size, etc.)

even if we take all the the things in favor of it working, then HOW can you land it?

usually these types of things are tiny areas that must be struck or gripped in such a specific way that it is a difficult and high risk thing to do at best.

so it is a high risk and low chance of success move, where there are far more open "vulnerable" areas of the human body more easy to strike that won't put you in a position of danger (as much danger) when you miss or it fails.

and most of these are such small areas that require specific strikes in a specific way- better to devote your time to high percentage low risk strikes and holds than something like this.

guarantee you you will be able to land 10 heavy power punches to someone's face with a great potential for a knockout than you will before you can land just one pressur point technique which may or may not work on the person leaving you exposed to those return headshots.

  3. The foremost expert on pressure pouint fighting is George Dillman. He was Muhammad Ali's karate instructor, and he holds several black belts in different styles.

  4. The study of Kysho Jitsu (Dim Mak for the Chinese arts) takes a lifetime of study. Some of the points can be easy to lean, striking them on a wild drug crazed attacker is another story. This is where yrs. of study come in. You can search the net, there is no shortage of dvd's on the subject good luck and be careful

  5. there are quite a few people who teach this in Britain you have to find someone. often instructors of other martial arts no people who teach it. the army and police use forms of this just referred to as pressure point fighting so maybe you can get into it that way

  6. contact the open circle institute, russell stutely or erle montague on the net just fish for info they should be able to help you.
