Preston to Leeds Airport by road?

Question

Does anybody do this route regular?

We are flying from Leeds in the summer and our flight is 11am so we need to be there no later than 9am but people have told me that we will hit rush hour and it can take longer than expected even though we are not a million miles away with only living nr Preston. If anyone does this route regular through work etc i would appreciate any helpon how long it takes.
