  1. There are going to be 4 more books. The next one, Wicked, is coming out in November (Okay, who else agrees with me when I say SARA SHEPHARD WRITES FREAKILY FAST!!! lol).

And theres going to be a show based on it (YAY.)

    According to the CW:

    PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (CW)

    DEVELOPMENT HISTORY:

    12/14/05 - 10/20/06

    STATUS:

    previously in development (2007-2008 season)

    DEVELOPMENT STAGE:

    script

    DESCRIPTION:

drama revolves around four 16-year-old girls - whose fifth best friend went missing two years ago - that suddenly become haunted by messages that appear from her

    CREW INFORMATION:

    · Bob Levy as EP

    · Eric Tannenbaum as EP

    · Kim Tannenbaum as EP

    · Leslie Morgenstein as EP

    · Mimi Schmir as CRTR/EP

    · Sara Shepard as BOOK

    GENRE(S):

    · drama

    STUDIO INFORMATION:

    · Alloy Entertainment

    · Tannenbaum Company, The

    · Warner Bros. Television

So...they're writing the script now. It might come out in a year or two. Or longer. I dunno how long these things take.

According to Alloy Entertainment (produced Gossip Girl, Sisterhood of the travelling pants, etc):

    Pretty Little Liars

One hour series pilot in development with ABC Family. Based on New York Times bestselling book series Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shephard. Rights via William Morris.

OKkk....so there seems to be 2 seperate series. One for CW, and they're still writing the script, and one for ABC, and they're making the pilot.
