6 months ago is when i made a deal with my mom..

If i could save up the money, i could buy a Kawasaki Ninja 250R.

I currently have a little over a grand, and i have a job at the pet store, and all that good stuff.

today is when my mom said; "alright, i guess you wont be getting that motorcycle you are saving up for since you wont do what i asked".

i think she is getting a little unstable with a deal we made.

just so you all know im turning in 17 in september, just to run that across with people.

so whats your say on whats happening with this "deal"?

what should i do?

  1. i know a boatload of ppl who've been riding motorcycles for over a decade each and they've got all arms and legs and no brain damage.

    sheesh.

since you're 17 already, why not just keep saving until you're 18 and then buy the thing yourself?

  2. It sounds to me that she is using this Bike to help her get you to listen to her. I would just do what your mother ask and then you will be able to get the bike. Earning the money is not all your mother wants you to do but she wants you to learn some respect aswell. Good Luck...and remember be good to your mom she has done so much for you and one day you will have kids and then you will know exactly how your mom feels.

  3. I knew 2 kids that killed themselves on a motorcycle, and 1 guy that lost his arm to it.

  4. ur mother wants to protect you - imagine if u did get a motorcycle and then had a horrible crash - wouldnt u wish that she didnt let you..

wait till ur 18 - u kno what they say - good things come to those who wait.

  5. As a parent, we generally make deals with unrealistic goals as we believe that our kids will lose interest and/or not keep their end of the bargin.

In this case, you did what was originally agreed upon and, therefore, should enjoy the fruit of your labor.  However, if this continues to be a source of contention, 18 is just a year away.....

  6. I would ask her what you are not doing that she asked you to do and once you find out do it FAST! and without arguing with her you might tell her that a promise is a promise and a deal is a deal. I might only be 12, but hey! I've had my share of unfair parents!!!

p.s. if you kiss up and she still wont let you have it, what the h**l? get it anyways and hide it at a friends!!!

  7. No your Mom is frustrated and is trying to use this to better you. If you noticed I said you. The truth is if you can't listen to your mother she has every right and will not allow you to get a motorcycle. Which i think the fact that she even entertains it makes her a cool mom.

Listen to your Mom give her hugs and kisses.
