Prevent Ice from forming on windscreen?

Im a volunteer fire fighter and I need to be able to get in my car n go when the pager goes off, it took me 5 minutes to get the ice off last night which is a problem!! So preventing it is ideal!

  3. I assume you cant your car under cover at all, that would help. Otherwise put a cover over the outside of the windscreen, similar to those that go on the inside to keep the sun out. Just hook the bottom under the wipers and fix top straps in the doors before you lock them. When you get called out, all you have to do is open the doors and flick the cover,& ice, off, then away you go.

  4. Wipe the windscreen down with Methylated spirits to displace water when parking it, also try the cover.

  5. Put a cover over your car

  6. put salt there..it will melt
