  1. Follow the tutorial below to secure your network

9 easy step on setting up a secured wireless home network

  2. On your router, go to 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, 192.168.2.1. Login with the user and pass listed on your router, and go to Security or Wireless and then Security. Setup a WEP or a WPA code.

  3. Assuming you use an Airport Extreme system with your Macintosh, follow these instructions to ensure you're using WEP encryption that prevents others from using your network without a password (or certain tools).

If you use something else, look up WEP in your manual.

  4. They can not steal your connection if you have a cable connected to your computer.

If you have Wireless with WEB or WPA password, you are safe.
