Question:

Prevention of canker sores?

I get them like clockwork, once a month. Usually two or more, but if I only get one it's huge. I know it's hormone related, because it's before my period, and I never got them at all when I was pregnant. Other than remaining pregnant constantly, how can I prevent canker sores? Can you think of something having to do with hormones that'd prevent them?

I've tried all the non-hormonal old wives tales I've heard, including changing toothpastes, not chewing gum, eliminating vinegar/oily salad dressings, and other tips like that. What's worked for you? Am I crazy that this is related to my monthly bill?

  2. Hi there Mozz, I found in my search that canker sores can be caused by so many things including allergies, nutritional deficiency, hormones, and even autoimmune diseases. This link gives more details on these things and seems to be helpful.
