Preview: Ballsmania Cup week six , heats three and four

The last week for charities to earn a spot in the final of the Ballsmania Cup is ready to start Friday night, 22 October in Nottingham. Each week six charities are invited to Nottingham to sell tickets
and earn points based on how well the dogs do from the trap number they’re assigned. The charity that earns the most points is invited back for the Ballsmania Cup final on 19 November.
Ballsmania Cup - Leg 3 (A5)
In trap one is Redeemed. He likes to win, and does it often enough to warrant wagering on him, but his odds may not pay out very much.
Patsys Flyer is young, but already has a couple of wins. She’ll be Redeemed’s biggest challenge after recording her best time in her last race.  She’ll race from trap two.
In trap three is the longshot of the race, Causeway Sean. He usually finishes in the bottom three, but once in a while he cracks the top three. His last win was an A4 race on 5 July. As far as longshots
go, the odds are good, 14-1 right now, but one mistake and he’ll be trailing the pack.
Roscoes Scoobydu will race from trap four. He hasn’t won since May, but has finished in the top three in his past four. He’s probably due for a win, but don’t expect it to happen in this race, not with
7-2 odds anyway.
In trap five is Natural Habitat, she’s been racing in A3 and A4 races, and the drop could help her earn a win. It’s more likely she’ll finish third or second though.
Rock It Doshie has looked very good recently, with only one bottom three finish in her last six races. She likes the outside trap, and could use it to her advantage in this one.
Best bet: Patsys Flyer or Rock It Doshie, whichever pays better.
Ballsmania Cup - Leg 4 (A1)
Come on Clarky leads a very strong field in the fourth leg of the Ballsmania Cup. He wins two out of five races, despite often getting off to slow starts. A slow start against this group could put him
out early though. He’ll race from the first trap.
Racing from the second trap is Driving Up Local. He’s bounced back-and-forth from sixth to second in his past six races. Unless you’re a fan of coin flipping, Local probably isn’t a good bet.
Oxford Don looked good beating Driving Up Local last week, he’ll probably do that again, but he’ll be in tough to stay ahead of Clarky. He drew trap three.
In trap four is Kiss The Groom. He’s not looked like the marrying sort in his past two races, but he won three of the four races previous to that.
Cashandcarrylen usually finishes in the top three, and probably will again, despite coming off a fifth place finish. He’ll go from trap five.
Housed in trap six is Boys of Winter, after two wins and then a second place finish, Winter has had two terrible races. He’ll be looking to bounce back from that.
