Preview- Boston Celtics versus Toronto Raptors
The Boston Celtics will be up against the Toronto Raptors tomorrow at the Air Canada Centre. The Boston Celtics have had one of the best winning streaks against the Toronto Raptors winning their last eight encounters with them.
The Boston Celtics are doubtful about whether or not Rajon Rondo will be a part of the Boston Celtics team that will be facing the Toronto Raptors.
The Boston Celtics are in one of their best forms during the recent few seasons and have managed a 9-3 record thus far. The Boston Celtics have made a great start to the campaign as they won their 5 opening home games only to be defeated
by the Oklahoma City Thunder 89-84.
"We didn't start the game with the right mindset," said Celtics forward Paul Pierce, who had 14 points and four turnovers. "We knew what they were going through. We kind of eased into the game."
The Toronto Raptors have a very good chance of winning the game with one of the main elements of the Boston Celtics, Rajon Rondo missing. The Toronto Raptors have nailed the last two games winning them by turning the tables in the fourth
quarter to clinch the matches. Sonny Weems proved to be the difference on Wednesday as he bagged 25 points in the last 12 minutes while on Friday Linas Kleiza scored 7 points in the dying stages of the match as the Toronto Raptors won the match 106-96.
"We have got to stay positive and start winning and keep fighting," Kleiza said after coming off the bench for a third straight game since Weems replaced him. "There is a lot of basketball left."
Added to this is the fact Andrea Bargnani has bagged huge points in the last couple of games to take his scoring average to 28 points per game which would surely impose a lot of threat to the Boston Celtics.
The Toronto Raptors have nothings to lose as they have lost the eight last meetings with the Boston Celtics. This might just give them the energy to turn the tables against the Boston Celtics as they have a strong chance of winning this
time out.
The main reason being Rondo’s absence who averages 21.5 points, 10 assists and 7.5 rebounds in the last two games that he played against the Toronto Raptors. On the other hand, Bargnani might exploded this time as previously he has maintained
a disappointing 13.3 points per game average during the last six games between the two sides.
