Preview of the Dubai World Cup Carnival’s sixth fixture, featuring the Group 2 Al Rashidiya 
The sixth racing fixture of the, 2012 Dubai World Cup Carnival on 26th January will comprise of six handicaps, all of which are being sponsored by the Dubai Duty Free.

The meet will start off with Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Handicap at about six furlongs, and the Dubai Duty Free Foundation Handicap will be run over at seven furlongs, Dubai Duty Free Handicap on turf also over seven furlongs, Dubai Duty Free
Millennium Millionaire Handicap will be raced over a mile, 1 furlong and 110 yards.
The last two races of the meet are the Group 2 Al Rashidiya sponsored by Dubai Duty Free on turf over a distance of a mile and a furlong, while the concluding race of the meet will be the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Handicap on turf over a
distance of a mile and two furlongs. The Group 2 Al Rashidiya stands out to be the feature race of the card.
Some of the prominent names running in these races are Internationaldebut, Silaah, Regal Parade, Time Prisoner, Belgian Bill, Spirit of Sharjah, Nanton and Viscount Nelson.
Erwan Charpy said about his under charge, Nanto:
"He seems a lovely horse and it is a pleasure to have him here. He is so versatile this looks a good place to start him, probably with the view to stepping him up in trip later”.
While Ted Durcan is positive about, Belgian Bill’s second race during the Carnival, and elaborated further on his seasonal debut saying:
"That was a very good first run and I sat on him Tuesday morning and he seems in great form. He handles synthetic surfaces and is well drawn so should run well”.
Racing ahead with his fourth start during the Carnival is, Spirit of Sharjah, about whom his jockey, O’Shea said:
"He ran very well last week and won't mind returning to Tapeta. He won over a furlong shorter at Epsom and, if he stays, he would have a chance”.
The meet through its six races will decide the fates of those, who are racing their seasonal debuts and those who are adding to their already 2012 posted races and victories. The outcome of the feature race, Group 2 Al Rashidiya will be most awaited
as it has Godolphin entries along with trainer Al Raihe, Marco Botti and De Kock.
