we purchased tickets for a trip in November last month for 500$, now the same flight is $330. Is it possible to get a price adjustment, is it even worth asking?

  1. It certainly depends on the airline. If you bought a non-refundable ticket, then I'm not sure they will do anything for you. If you bought a refundable one, they may cancel your reservation and re-purchase the ticket at the new price or just provide you with a refund. I'd DEFINITELY call the airline. But these days with the way airlines are running, I wouldn't set my expectations too high.

  2. i never heard that you can do it but call the airline where you purchase the ticket from

  3. in my view it is not possible, suppose it would go hire side would you like to pay the difference even though you must talk to your airline

  4. Actually, yes, it is...

In most cases, the airlines will charge a change fee, but if the difference in the amounts is more than that, why not.  Since the average change fee is $100, you would get $70 back as either a credit or a voucher for future flights.

  5. It is possible, but far from a sure thing. It depends on what airline, what the fare basis was, and which way the airline's Long Term Strategic Planning is blowing this week. (That last part is a joke. Well, sort of.)

It's certainly worth asking. The worst they can do is laugh and say no... and in the best case, you get back some real money.
