Price of a field bred german shorthaired pointer?

i'm just starting to research dogs for hunting and am wanting a finished one thats fully trained but am not sure about how much i should expect to pay. i understand it will vary but am looking to get an idea on what to expect.

If you are wanting a finished dog, expect prices to start at about $2000.  I know a breeder near me that just sold a finished dog for $20,000.  So, there's your price range.  Finished dogs in my area go for about $3500-$5000.
