I have a friend that bought a Brother Innovis 900D from a dealer.  She paid $599. for it.  She had to wait 2 weeks for it to it to come in.  She said another dealer in the area had them in stock but wanted twice as much $ for it.  The price does vary a lot, so be sure to shop around.
