Priceless Spark heading for win in the Sporting Press Irish Oaks Round 1 Heat 8 at Shelbourne Park
Competing in the Sporting Press Irish Oaks Round 1 Heat 8 are six contestants. The race will be held at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards on Saturday, 26th May. The prize money for the race is set at €100.
Priceless Spark heads on with the most impressive credentials with Skywalker Silk, Airmount Pearl, Crossfield Tina, Rosiemac and Airforce Allstar contesting.
Droopys Scolari’s three-year-old black daughter out of b***h, Woodhill Spark, rolled into the season on 4th February and got drilled over 574 yards that she settled in 28.57 seconds.
Serving the purpose that the training session was meant for, Priceless Spark won the seasonal debut. She won over 525 yards on 11th February by timing the track distance in 28.43 seconds. She led the runner up of the race, Hidden Jester, by two
lengths.
The three-year-old could not keep the level of performance intact and thus finished fifth in the very next race.
The next drill for the P. Hennessy under charge was on 3rd March at Cork over 525 yards which she went through in 28.56 seconds.
Priceless Spark was the 4/6 favourite winner of the Sis Open 525 at Shelbourne Park after reaching the other end of the wire in 28.52 seconds. She led the runner up of the race, Shabby Go Chic, by four and a half lengths.
Concluding the race third was Ballymac Cait.
She then won the next two races which were at Cork. On 31st March she won a 525 yards race by timing the track distance in 28.79 seconds. The three-year-old led the runner up of the race, Newlawn Martina, by a good eight and a half lengths.
Finally on 7th April, Priceless Spark bagged the eventual race for the hat trick.
She took 28.38 seconds to settle the 525 yards and took charge of the field by a slight neck’s difference. Smoke Pixie qualified as the runner up.
Till yet her last victory was in the Larry Dunne Open 525 Round 1 Heat 4 on 28th April at Shelbourne Park. She completed the trip in 28.44 seconds and led the 5/4 favourite runner up, Fridays Carroll, by one and a half lengths.
