Question:

Priceline name your own price Europe?

Did anybody used this option to travel to Europe?

They accepted my ridiculously low offer, and now I'm scared to take it, because I don't want them to make me wait for many hours when I make the connection, or to put me and my 5 years old in two different seats on the plane.

  1. Ask them for the itinerary first. The airline ultimately places you in the plane so check that with them. I highly doubts though that priceline would do anything to spite you because they accepted a low offer. Probably completely seperate departments.

  2. I didn't use Priceline to Europe, but I thought I'd throw my two cents in.

I'm quite certain that pretty much any airliner would want you to be together with a child that young, so whatever seats Priceline sticks you with I pretty much guarantee that a stewardess will ask someone to switch with you/child so you can be together.  It's in everyone's best interest that your child not be freaking out the whole flight, so you're probably safe on that count.

As for the connection, having used Priceline shouldn't affect you.  The flight will either leave on time, or it won't.  While you might be asked to give up your seat and accept another flight because you used a budget booking site - I don't believe you can be forced to do so.  It may, however, be in your best interest to take another flight because there are often perks associated with doing so.  Either way, you shouldn't be at any higher risk of this than most other passengers, who probably also booked using Travelocity, Orbitz or some other online booking site.

  3. Nice to know there is a way to fly without paying full price. Would you mind telling us what you offer was  Thanks

  4. I've not used Priceline for flights, but I have for hotels.

In that case, as soon as you are notified that your

offer was accepted, they tell you what hotel you "won".

I would assume it's the same for flights, so you should

know what connections you have booked.

As for seats, you should be able to negotiate that

with the airline.  Once Priceline puts you on the flight,

they are pretty much out of the picture.
