  1. to you question, it all depends where you live. what part of the country. small town girl, what part of the country to you live in. those prices seem a might high. especially the sheep, pigs and female cows.

it also depends if you want to start out with young animals or much older ones. chickens again depends on what part of the country you are in.

we get ours from local small farmers.

  2. Sheep- A good buck will cost you $300-$400 and a ewe is around $150 each

    Cows- $700-$1000

    Chickens- No clue sorry

    Pigs- $200-$400

    Bulls- $2000

Why did I get thumbs down? I know this is what we pay for our cattle and lambs and my best friend raises pigs.

I'm in Colorado. They might seem high because we buy breeding stock? I'm not sure but I know this is what we pay for ours.

It'll also matter the breeding of the animal and how old it is, like a 4 year old sheep buck will cost more then a 1 year old.
