I'm moving to Rome and wondering what all I should take with me because it would be to expensive to buy there. Is the prices really different than the USA and if it is could you give examples. And I mean things like cooking utensils, sheets, pillows.....you know, necessities.

Thanks for your help!

  1. Hi,, you might as well get the electrical stuff there,, hair dryer and such,, the electricity is different than here in America,,, also,, you can shop for your sheets and pillows there,, not that much difference,, but they dont have Wal Mart or such,, either..... they have shops.... individual shops.... so you will have to price things... If you have something favorite of yours,,,, bring it......

ALSO! !!!!!!!    Beware of the Pick Pockets,, and purse snatchers in ROME !!!!   they are GOOD at their business.... no kidding....

    good luck......

  2. Take the stuff you need and like.

  3. Batteries and razors for shaving are both really expensive.  Towels are inexpensive, but sheets are more expensive than those in Italy.  They have IKEA in Italy, so you should use that to buy inexpensive, cool furniture.
