What does the book Pride and Prejudice (movie tie-in) mean? I know that the cover page is the same picture as the movie, but is that all? Cause I was thinking of buying the book P&P but not sure which out of all of them to buy. (if there is a difference or such)

  1. Doesn't really mean much--just an excuse to reprint it with a new cover and charge more for it. My advice would be to see if your local book store sells Dover Thrift Editions--Pride and Prejudice brand new is $3.00.

  2. One of the reviews said it is abridged, so to play it safe you should look for a different version. Oh, and by the way, the Kiera Knightly film version does NOT do it justice; a much better adaptation was done for A&E, starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. And nothing beats the book, because nothing else has Jane Austen.

  3. im guessing the movie tie-in edition will just have an intro speaking about the movie, or something like that. the actual book/story itself won't be any different in any edition. i would definetly recommend reading pride and prejudice if you liked the movie! i LOVED both!
