  1. they're all great, but my favourite would be Emma. They're so beautifully written, once you read one, you'll want to read the rest. Enjoy!!

  2. I prefer Pride & Prejudice the characters are much more lovable. The story is also classic and timeless.

  3. Try out Pride and Prejudice first.

By the way, you may want to try out the first chapter (lets say) of all of them and read the one that seems to attract you a lot. You don't need to buy the books to try them - the full text is freely available in the Internet for each of these books. Try out the Jane Austen ("Austen, Jane") section of the following to read them:

  4. P&P

  5. Read it in the order you have listed. subconsciously thats how you want to read them x x x plus i agree with that order x x x

  6. I would go with the masses, P&P is my fave too.  Have read it many times.  The other two are enjoyable too but for me P&P stands alone.

  7. I haven't read S&S yet, but I love both Emma and P&P. Personally, I started with Emma, and it was great. I think it doesn't really matter. P&P is more famous though, and also a lot shorter.

  8. My favorite's Pride and Prejudice. Sense and Sensibility is the second best, and Emma takes last place.

However, you should try Persuasion, too! It's the last novel that Austen wrote (published posthumously), and I love it. I'm reading it now for the first time, and it's great. The characters are so believable!

  9. Pride and Prejudice is the best!

  10. I would definitely read P&P first, then Sense and Sensibility, then Emma. Sense and Sensibility is my second-favorite by Austen and while it's not as good as P&P, it's still amazing.

  11. Most people start with Pride and Prejudice. I did, and it's one of my favorite books. So I suggest starting with P&P.

  12. Emma was actually the first Austen novel I read.  I liked it, but it's not really my favorite of hers.  Pride and Prejudice is perhaps my favorite book of all time, and definitely my favorite Austen novel, so I would probably recommend that one to start.  Then Sense and Sensibility and Emma.  Also, if you enjoy Pride and Prejudice, I would recommend Persuasion, which is my second favorite from Austen.
