  1. If you are seeking to take a post grad course in teaching then you, presumably, have a degree?

If you have a degree, along with English and Maths then you may be considered for a post grad course. However, you need to check out the entrance requirements for the institution, to which you intend to apply.

In addition, to the requisite qualifications for a PGDE, then it will serve you well if you can show on your application that you have spent some time volunteering as a helper at a local primary, to demonstrate that you have an idea of what you are applying for, and have the comittment to stick with teaching.

  2. They'll go on experience and your application form for the interview.  You'll then be offered a conditional offer if your successful which will just mean you have to get that to get on the course.

    Good luck.
