I want to try MAC Studio Fix Powder, however I heard it can break people out. My question is, if I use a primer underneath can it still make me break out?

What is the point of primer anyway?

Thanks!

  1. It will still make you break out

The point of primer is to help your makeup stay

    Even your face texture

And prevent settling in fine lines and wrinkles

  2. You will still break out. A face primer is one of the best ways to insure your makeup stays on longer, they're relatively new products so few drugstore brands make primers. They pamper the skin and create a protective barrier. Primers are excellent for people with combination to oily skin. Just apply after moisterizer and let it sink into the skin for a few minutes, and carry on with your regular foundation routine.

    Many high-end brands carry primers

    NARS Makeup Primer

MAC Prep and Prime (I use and recommend)

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (I use and recommend)

    Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Prime Time

    Laura Mercier Foundation Primer

Lorac aquaPRIME Oil Free Makeup Primer

Sephora Professionnel Perfection Makeup Base (I use and recommend)

SheSieDo Makeup Sheer Enhancer Base SPF15

    Some drugstore

Sally Hansens Lumizing Foundation Primer (I use and recommend)

Rimmel London Recover Perfect Skin Primer

Revlon Age Defying Instant Firming Face Primer

Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer (I use and recommend)

Revlon Vital Radiance Smoothing Face Primer

  3. Primer gives your makeup something to hang onto, since your skin isn't meant to have makeup on it. It will also go on smoother and make it last longer.

also it will STILL make you break out
