Primo Ryan likely to thrive in Bags Track Championship - Standard
The last three months had been the best time of Primo Ryan’s career as the C. Stringer trained black and white dog elegantly accomplished four epic victories that spiked up his confidence level greatly.
The momentum he gained from those feats is going to lend a great hand to him in tonight’s Bags Track Championship – Standard that will go down at Swindon racecourse.
With the 11-10 favourite tag, the three-year-old veteran hound will break from Trap 3 to take on five mighty rivals. The temptation for the cash prize worth £200 will make him stretch his legs over 480 metres.
This will be his first experience of an IR contest. As a whole, he has displayed the magic of his legs in almost all the major formats of the game with A1 at the top.
The son of Head Bound out of Ard Surge also possesses an outstanding podium record. On August 15, he marvellously won A3 480m Flat by 2 ½ lengths.
After getting a couple of consecutive thirds, he finished first in the A2 480m Flat by 2 lengths. The dashing dog impressed all by winning an A1 race with the big margin of 7 lengths. All these races took place in September.
The maverick sprinter beautifully accomplished another A1 triumph by 4 ¼ lengths on October 12. These superb stats speak volumes of the dog’s racing capabilities.
In tonight’s showdown, Primo Ryan is likely to go unchallenged as none of his rivals is strong enough to hamper him.
However, Glencarra Wizard is likely to perform well. The P. Woodhouse trained black dog gained immense momentum by winning PGOTA at Poole on October 27. He beat What A Disciple by 4 lengths in the £97 race.
As a whole, the son of Head Bound out of Duhallow Lady too has a decent podium record to his name. Though he will try to show some resistance against Primo Ryan, but he cannot be able to surpass him.
By and large, the contest will be exciting and interesting enough. Many sport fans will visit the venue to watch the live action. Good luck to all the contestants.
