On Sunday, February 19, 2012, Parc des Princes saw high-flying Montpellier Herault play against Paris Saint-Germain in a game that could still be a big deciding factor of this season’s race for the Championelle.
Crown prince, and owner of PSG, Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was present in that game and was impressed with what he saw from the visiting side. Montpellier put PSG to the sword and the two sides produced one of the best games of the season.
However, that evening, there was one player who really caught the eye of everyone due to his role in the game. Young Montpellier midfielder, Younes Belhanda, put in a man of the match performance and was by far the best player on the pitch.
After the game, many newspapers across http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 linked the Moroccan with a move to Parc des Princes in the summer transfer window. La Paillade president, Loulou Nicollin is desperate to keep hold of a player who has been crucial in his team’s rise in Ligue
1.
However, it appears that Prince Al-Thani was clearly pleased to see a player of Arabic origin perform so well against one of the richest sides in Europe.
So much was the prince impressed by Belhanda’s performance, that the Qatari has now made it a mission to bring the youngster to the Parc des Princes.
According to Le Parisien, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 is also keen on obeying the wishes of his boss and has already established contact with Belhanda’s entourage to launch “L’operation seduction”.
However, Belhanda might be hesitant to leave his club so soon. The Moroccan has not expressed a desire to leave the Mosson and is keen on the prospect of playing in the Champions League with Herault.
Paris will certainly have to overcome this as the player’s desire could play a crucial role in his future. PSG will afford 20 million Euros for Belhanda but convincing the player would prove to be a bigger obstacle.
