Prince Fielder arrives as Milwaukee Brewers focus on Spring Training – MLB News
It looks as if Prince Fielder has reported for duty with the Milwaukee Brewers for the exciting Spring Training session. In all of the excitement, the fans are well aware that this could possibly be his last season with the Brewers as he has opted to becoming
a free-agent after the regular season.
Fielder recently was given $15.5 million to play during the 2011 MLB regular season with the Brewers, as after this year, he will become a free-agent. This will allow Fielder to get offers and possibly play for another team for the 2012 season.
Currently the Brewers are trying hard to focus on the task at hand, which is Spring Training. The team will be looking to put in a good performance during the session and finalise their rotations and line-ups that they will use during the regular season.
Fielder will play a big part of the Brewers chances of success during Spring Training and also more importantly, the regular season.
Fielder will also be looking to put in a good performance during Spring Training to get ready for the grueling regular season. He is a phenomenal hitter of the ball and has the capacity to destroy any top pitching line-up in Major League Baseball.
Milwaukee will be looking to divert the attention from Fielder leaving, to him performing during the regular season to help guide the team to a post-season position. The team still has a lot of work to accomplish as Spring Training will allow the Tigers
to try out some of their younger players and gain some much needed game-play.
Recently Albert Pujols also announced that this could possibly be his last regular season with the St. Louis Cardinals as he was also looking towards free-agency. Both Fielder and Pujols are tremendous players with tons of talent. The news of Pujols becoming
a free-agent after the regular season has diverted some of the attention away from Fielder also becoming a free-agent later in the year.
However, it seems that the Brewers are maintaining their focus on having a productive Spring Training session and keep the regular season in mind. The team will be looking for a successful regular season in which they will be able to dominate other top tier
teams in the League.
Fielder will be looking to put in everything he has during the regular season for the Brewers. He will want to make a lasting impression for the other teams that will be undoubtedly be lining up to make offers to acquire him after the regular season is complete.
It will be interesting to see how Fielder performs for the Brewers during Spring Training and the regular season.
