Prince Harry to enjoy beach volleyball at the Games – London Olympics 2012
The 2012 Summer Olympic Games are scheduled to get underway in July. The beautiful city of London will host the much-awaited Olympic event.
Beach volleyball will be featured as an essential part of the Olympics, starting on July 28. The famous Horse Guards Parade near Downing Street, which is a stone’s throw distance from the Buckingham Palace, is set to host the thrilling action of beach volleyball.
Both men’s and women’s competitions will be carried out in that category.
In this connection, Prince Henry of Wales also known as Prince Harry, the son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana has reportedly expressed the desire to watch beach volleyball games at the upcoming event.
The Prince has asked the top advertisers to help him in getting the premium seats at the beach tournament in his neighbourhood. The presence of Prince Harry, will add a great vibe in the event and beach volleyball will become even more popular among other
events at the London Olympic Games.
Prince Harry loves beach volleyball. A source close to Harry revealed that he has great passion for the sport and he is all geared up to watch upcoming tournament during the Olympic Games. He actually developed the love for this thrilling sport, while he
was on a military training assignment in the city of San Diego, California. He does not really play the sport but loves watching it.
The athletes, who are supposed to take part in the competition, are also delighted that they will be playing in front of the Royal Family members. In this regard, the American two-time gold-medallist Kerri Walsh commented, “I am getting chills just thinking
about it. I would love it if the Royal Family came out to watch us. You think Prince Harry might like what we have to offer?”
