Prince Henry and the (royal?) family.?

Seriously, why does Prince Henry get so much press in the states and in England? Like he's fighting in some old Christians against the Persions war in medieval times for the advancement of the throne and church.

Didn't the English royality lose all governmental power some time ago? Why is there so much attachment to traditional processons and ways, which would of meant something back in Elizabeth's day, but now looks like an elaborate theatre production.

I understand the whole king's line thing, but why is it relevant anymore?

  1. its easier to see why he gets attention than people like paris hilton.

  2. I think keeping the tradition of the monarchy is a good thing. Yes they don't hold power the way they use to but the monarchy was sooo essential back in the day that it would be a shame to lose it. It generates tons of tourism every year. So I guess the answer would be..money. The royals are celebrities, famous for reasons other then being royal. Yes their has been alot of hype around Harry for serving in Afghanistan...too much indeed. Fergie has been a fantastic role model for those people who are trying to lose weight.
