Tom Tate’s Royal Hunt Cup winner, Prince Of Johanne, looks to be the most fascinating contender in the Skybet Supporting Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Pomfret Stakes (Listed Race) at Pontefract on Sunday, July 29th.

Bannock is another powerful runner, but there is a question mark over his stamina. Mark Johnston’s trainee was 11th behind Field Of Dream in the Betfair Summer Double International Stakes (Heritage Handicap) at Ascot a few days ago. His confidence
would have been dented by a terrible outcome, thus the punters should look elsewhere for the winner.
Rugged Cross struggled a lot in his last appearance at Epsom. It does not look like an ideal journey for Henry Candy’s trainee, who was awful over this distance last time. Set The Trend needs to raise his game after making a not-so-impressive effort on his
return last week.
Despite the presence of many giants, a chance can be taken on Prince Of Johanne, who is in good shape after a recent strike. Set The Trend might make things tricky for him, if he succeeds in putting his best foot forward. Good luck to all the runners.
