Prince of Tennis- Rafael Nadal- now eying 2011 Queen’s Club Championship
The Tennis World No. 1, Rafael Nadal, currently seems to be flying high while he also looks keen on improving his game for the upcoming events. Nadal, at present, is eagerly awaiting the next year’s tournament at the Queen’s Club.
In an interview, the 24-year-old said that he is working hard to keep his winning streak alive. He maintained that although, he is satisfied with the way he has been performing recently but still, he looks forward to work over his fitness and also to improve
his game technique.
The Spaniard earlier won the 2010 U.S. Open. He is now only the seventh player in the tennis world to have won all the major Grand Slams. Nadal is known as the king of clay court but his performances over the grass courts aren’t ordinary either. According
to him, grass courts are equally important so he is trying to improve his game on them as well.
While talking about future events, Nadal stated that although, he has his eyes on the prestigious Queen’s Club but his first and foremost focus for now is to get fully prepared for the upcoming Wimbledon tournament.
Last year, Rafa had suffered a crucial defeat at the hands of Feliciano Lopez in the quarter final at Queen’s but later had worked hard over his technique and won the prestigious Wimbledon title. He added that he enjoyed winning this title as he found the
audience very much supportive of him, which made him feel good and also play to his fullest.
2010 has been a spectacular year for this tennis sensation till now as he was able to bag three Grand Slam titles including French Open, Wimbledon Open and U.S. Open. This has given him a lot of confidence.
Nadal seems eager to perform better this time at the Queen’s Club and with his current good form, he is no doubt this year’s favorite there. He commented on this by saying that his last year’s defeat was surely a disappointing one for him but for this year’s
event, he has improved his technique and fitness.
Finally, no doubt the upcoming tennis tournament at Queen’s Club would be a fantastic one as the prince of tennis, Rafael Nadal, looks ready to perform there and is showing no signs of getting down for now.
