  1. I went with a friend last summer and was o.k., she was a little nervous because of Poseidon and Titanic (yes I know) but at the end she finished very happy and very tired.

  2. i was on the Caribbean Princess in November of '06. there was 17 of us in our group. it was a blast!. we did the Eastern Caribbean. that giant tv screen on the pool deck was cool. we watched Monday Night Football. the weather was great. 1 day of rain when were were at St Thomas. great day at St Maarten. it was probably my 2nd favorite of the 4 cruises i've been on. i was on the Carribe of Commodore Cruise Line (now the Regal Empress) way back in the late 80's, Tropicale of Carnival Cruise Line for my honeymoon back in May of '91 and the Costa Romantica in April of '01 (i think).

  3. I have been on seven cruises and have found Princess to be the best cruise lines. They offer a wide variety of activites and excursions, high-tea in the afternoon is lovely, amazing food and restaurants, great staff, friendly cruisers, not too expensive, luxurious spas, comfy staterooms, and no rowdy customers.

Bring lots of warm clothes and swim suits!  I do suggest bringing some rain gear, as there are sometimes afternoon showers due to the high humidity.

Great choice for a cruise!  Relax and enjoy yourself!

  4. I went on Crown Princess two weeks ago (Christmas week).  It was alright.  I went to Aruba, Bonaire, Grenada, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts.  The weather was fine.  The only thing I didn't like was that you would have to pay for soft drinks, and sodas.  If you buy a soda card it's like $30, and it's unlimited soda.

The only free drinks on the cruise is water, tea, iced tea (unsweetened), and coffee.  Orange juice and cranberry juice was offered in the morning for breakfast.

Ice Cream you had to pay for on the boat.  I didn't get any.

I enjoyed going in cafe Carib, because it was a buffet, and most nights the food was tasty.  The desserts were usually good, and I liked how they had food in the early hours of the morning.

The only thing I disliked was the fact I had to pay for soda (I did purchase the soda card), and that in Bonaire, the ship was leaving at 1pm.  I wanted to get a look at the island.  It seemed very nice in town.  I also disliked that they wouldn't allow you to bring bottled liquor in the room.  But there are ways to get around it.

There are some restaurants you have to pay for on the boat.  It's about 2 or 3 of them there is a charge.  The rest of them are free.

  5. I've been on 8 princess cruises. Have been all over the carribean. Bring only summer clothes and maybe an unbrella. It is always warm there, but down right hot during our summer(very humid). This time of the year may be hot, but not too humid. It may rain every now and then. I loved to snorkel there. It was always a lot of fun. The other answer you got about ice cream, well, it's true you have to buy it, but some ships serve free ice cream at 3pm. Check it out. To save money on soda, when you go ashore, stop in a store and buy some soda cans & put in fridge in your room. It's ok to do this. Consider eating you meals in the dinning room because you get waited on and avoid the crowds around the buffet table this way. I loved to be waited on. So go out and enjoy your cruise.
