How is the Star Princess cruise ship for kids? We're going to the Western Caribbean in April and I'm concerned that my young kids (ages 3 and 4) will get bored or otherwise not like it.

  1. good  cruise  line

  2. While this is not the best cruise line for kids, they do have a lot of activities for kids of all ages. If you want something to fit everyone, Royal Carribean does that very well (of course, it is not as high of class ships either).

  3. I had the opportunity to tour the Emerald Princess a couple years ago in Seattle and the kids area made me want to be a kid again.  Princess cruises realizes that families are the majority of their clientele and caters to them accordingly.  They have kids programs onboard their ships and you may find that you have a harder time stealing them AWAY from the children's programs!  Your kids are right at the age that they will get to start enjoying the programs.  Don't worry about your kids, they will have a blast.  Check out the Princess website to find out some of the cool things they can do on the ship.  The Star is one of the ships that has a modified program so you might want to call Princess to find out the details.  Also kids do have to be potty trained to go.

  4. wow im a kid and it was the best thing that ever happend to me there are non stop activities and so many things to do !!!!!!they willl have a blast

  5. Princess Cruises' ships have great things going on for kids.  my kids enjoyed the Carribean Princess when we went to carribean.

  6. I took a cruise several years ago on a different ship (Carnival) and they had child care facilities on the ship that were excellent.  You might contact PCL to ask if they have such a facility aboard the ship you will be on.

Have fun and be sure to check out the jewelry shops on St. Thomas!  You'll find some awesome buys!

  7. Here is a helpful site for this cruise, and any more you may take.

    Enjoy!

  8. I too am sailing the Star in April. My daughter is 14 and Princess has great facilities for kids. I can assure you they won't be bored. They have so many things for them to do and all of the staff has taken child development classes. You may have a hard time getting them out of there to spend time with you.
