How is this cruise line for young adults? I am sailing on the regal and have 8 days at sea on it. Will I need lots of books?

  1. I found Princess to be a more laid-back cruiseline (as compared to Carnival), but you'll be surprised at how much there IS to do! There is stuff going on all day and night long! There are games (belly flop and hairy chest contests at the pool and games like trivia, pictionary). Of course there are shows every evening.

But your cruise is what you make of it. If reading by the pool is your idea of a perfect cruise - that's great. If you have a fun-filled cruise with games and dancing and whatever in mind - that's available too.

I love cruising; it's truly the best of all vacations :)

    Have a great time!

  2. My last cruise was on the Crown Princess in the southern caribbeans and I noticed that the Princess cruise doesn't push or hard sell the upselling items such as booze and photos as much, so I found it more pleasant than the other lines. Princess cruise line is slightly more expensive than the Carnivals and Royal Caribbeans, so you'll find that the passengers are little more older... well that's not fair to say just older but I'll say that it's not the hordes of 21+ drunk partiers. There are kids and there are families and of course young adults... but there are enough activities, and I loved the movies under the stars feature, and there will be lot of things to do and see.

However, having said all that, if you are going to be have 8 days at sea.. it would be wise to bring some books to read. If you like to read then bring a lot of books. you can relax and read to your hearts content.. but if you are active person you will have things to do. Remember that the cruise line does not make money by having unhappy customers.. they will find a awy to keep everyone entertained..

My Princess cruise was 7 days with 5 islands so it was an action packed cruise and didn't read a single page of the books I took but my next cruise in August will haev 3 days at sea and I plan to do some reading.  Have fun cruising!!

  3. NO!

There's a TON of things to do for young adults.

Well, it depends on the destination of course. but there's a casino, surely ping pong tables, good entertainment, and a lot of other stuff. you should really check out their site if you haven't already.

  4. Princess has a reputation in the industry for having "older" passengers.  However, there are always lots of activities on-board to keep you busy.  I wouldn't worry too much...I'm sure you'll meet some fun people!

  5. I took all of my books and did not open one of them.  I was too busy with exercise classes, spa trips and a lot of activities.

  6. FUNN!! You will have a great trip. Bring a few books but you find it hard to find that much time to read. You will be enjoying yourself to much!

    happy cruising!
