Princess Diana- Cover up or accident?

Im fourteen and have a persuasive speech to do this Monday and want to find out somne more info from people with different view from my own! So do you think that Princess Diana's death was a cover up or an accident?

It was simply an accident. Even a princess can die because of the actions of a drunken driver. The only person to have survived the crash wore a seat belt;if Diana had worn a seat belt she could have  survived. Henri Paul was not a licensed chauffeur,but head of security. He was not supposed to be driving that night,but the actions of the paparazzi so unnerved Dodi Fayed, that he asked Paul to drive the couple while the real chauffeur acted as decoy.Fayed's plan fooled no one,and an impaired Paul was unable to control the speeding Mercedes.

I don't think it was a simple accident.  There's something very strange about the whole thing.  The blood results of anrea Paul the driver, showed a very high level of alcohol.  However, in the video of them leaving the club to go to the car he has noral movement and co ordination, he even kneels down to tie his shoe laces.  Unlikely if he had such a high blood alcohol level.  He would have also reeked of booz so why is t that the young man who sat next to him in the car, the only survivor, who was not drunk, say anything.  Would you get in a car with the driver reeking of booz.  Also, considering how rich she was and her status as mother of the next king the 10 year delay in the inquest is very strange.  The time they took to transport her to hospital has brought up a lot of questions.  She was not transported to the nearest hospital.  Did you know the one survivor has been legaly gagged and is not allowed to talk about the accident.

She was a lovely person that was used as a brood mare for there own use. Yes they didn't like the idea that she was happy and was with with Dodie, but  it was an accident that was maybe blessed by the powers that be. Remember that Charles was seeing the other woman for a long time before he wed Diana.

i really dont think we will ever know the exact truth...she did take an awfully long time to reach the hospital & nobody has really explained why.  let us not forget that Dodi & Henri also died on that fateful night ...sadly, they often seem to be forgotten!

I agree with Karen H.  Dodi and Henri died in that accident also and a body guard was badly injured.  I think we all tend to forget that.

I believe the paparazzi are initially probably to blame because they were chasing the Mercedes causing Henri to speed.  I do not believe he was too drunk to drive.  It was an extremely tragic accident.  I do not think it was a conspiracy even though Dodi's father believes it was.  The conspiracy was probably a battle of wits with paparazzi.... who could get the best pics first of them leaving hotel and travelling to where ever, consequently they followed too close causing the crash.  The paparazzi should be made responsible(my personal opinion).

I am so glad I am not chased by photographers and reporters every day of my life.  I feel for those people who are.

The only cover up is coming from Mr Fayed, who can't face the fact that his son and companions let a member of his staff, who was intoxicated, drive them that night.

It was a tragic accident. There is no way any assassin could have known her route that night and carried out her murder. The driver was drunk, speeding and she wasn't wearing a seat belt. Game over.

My personal opinion is that it was a tragic accident.   There are so many factors that were uncontrollable and could have gone either way.  If the Royal family/government/MI5/MI6 had wanted the Princess killed there are a lot of other ways this could have been achieved with more certainty and less speculation and controversy.

I feel very sorry for Mr Al Fayed, his grief won't allow him to see his son's death for the tragic, random accident it was.

why was our further king,s mother allowed out without protection in the first place was she deemed unimportant now their is 2 heirs to the thrown and god help them if their is blood on the hands of the men in grey suits as princess Diana called them how would her wonderful sons cope with that and someone killed Dodi and Diana the driver or the person who clipped  their car so no it was no accident  some one should pay or be held accountable for their deaths and then the families would have some closure
