Pick for what?  If you mean pick to be Queen, I would stick with Elizabeth, I don't think Diana was up to it.

Wonderful - FYI the Queen is always HM never HRH. Majesty outranks Highness. HRH is only used for children of the sovereign and grandchildren of the sovereign through the male line (with the exception of course of the eldest son's children who are titled due to to the distinction of their father being the next king).

Pick for what? If you wanted to go clubbing, or for a dirty weekend, or needed a telegenic figurehead for a charity, Diana without a doubt. But if you wanted someone to trust and rely on, HM every time.

Back then it would have been Princess Diana she was so regal even after her death. Now it would be the Queen, so stoic, steadfast and safe, their is something about this person youve just gotta love.
