i'm going on an alaskan princess cruise this summer, and we have 2 formal dinners, and the rest just normal casual dinners, i guess.

i wanted some ideas of what to wear for both types of dinners, and maybe even during the day?

i was also wondering, for the formal dinner, they say cocktail dresses are fine, and i was planning to wear a dress that i wore for a dance, but it's a bright coral pink, and a little shorter than knee length. kinda like this only more pink http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=299736&CategoryID=26682

would that be to.. party for a dinner?

i'm 14.

need ideas ! thanks

  1. jeans are not allowed in the formal places, though if u want a nice skirt maybe (not denim)

when i went on an alaskan cruise, last year i took ncl , there was a formal place but they served the same exact food as someone else, who's dress code was just no shorts for guys and no fip flops/ sandals.

  2. That dress would be just fine for formal wear. Anything from prom to cocktail dresses and even nice pants with a sparkly top is fine too. For other dinners, I myself have worn jeans myself, but only real nice ones with a nice top. I also wear other pants or a casual dress to dinner. I would not wear ripped jeans, a tank top, shorts, or flip flops to dinner. Other sandals are fine, but since you are going to Alaska, sandals may be too cold. Flats would be good or a high heel like with a kitten heel would be great. I often will wear the same pants more then once, but with a different top because you are limited as to how many suitcases you can bring on a plane now. Bring some fun jewelery with you and mix it up. You will have a wonderful time in Alaska.
