Printing activity for ages 3-5?

can anyone tell me what a printing acitivy is

use a string and dip it in paint and then put on the paper and then fold the paper and children can see the effect.

put paint in a pot and then put some liquid in it and get the children to blow into the straw and then put paper on the bubbles.....

Printing is a reproduction...basically in childcare its something like:

Having a sponge, dipping in paint and then pushing onto paper and then pulling it off...the pattern left behind is a print of the sponge!

its hard to describe, but i can give you an example.

cut a potato in half, and cut the halfs so that shapes stick out of the middle areas then dip in paint and press onto paper!

Well sometimes printing can be writing

Sometimes it can be (here is an example of printing we did in school) We took a fish painted it and flipped over onto our paper and pressed we had a PRINT of our fish
