Printing onto blank T-Shirts?

Question

I bought 2000 plain tshirts...now I need good inexpensive printing. Everywhere I find offers the shirt, too - $1.00 or more over what I've paid for these. Transfers are OK, screenprinting is cool but not necesary. I want to keep to cost per shirt (printed & all) under $2.50 each

OR if you know where I should look to lease or buy the equipment, I'd consider that too.

do it yourself, there is iron on things in fabrics & crafts @ walmart.
